After some discussions with a friend about Oakley A frame goggles, I decided to investigate what the trends were with brand name sunglasses. Some interesting data came to light, which I will share with you. Interesting because it was not what I expected.
You see after many years selling designer sunglasses, with such brand names as Chanel, Gucci and Christian Dior, the sales weren’t as forth coming as was expected. Where were people spending their money? What sort of items were they buying? Taking a stroll down to the local surfing shop, and looking at their range of shades I came across brand names such as Spy, Electric, Arnette and Von Zipper. Certainly not the classic well known brands, but none-the-less these were brands that people and especially young people were buying.
Asking at the counter, ‘What brand is the most popular’, I got the reply ‘Electric’. I noticed however that there was a case full of Oakley, and down at the bottom some Oakley A frame goggles.
So with that in mind I then asked, ‘What price range were these Electric sunglasses priced at?’ I was surprised to find that they were priced at the same price as Oakley. I was then handed a catalog to flick through that contained numerous styles and prices.
I noticed that the Oakley A Frame Goggles came with
· Triple-layer polar fleece face foam with moisture wicking
· Huge ventilation and F-3 Series anti-fog action
· 100% eye protection against UVA, UVB, UVC and damaging blue light
· Shock resistance of hard-wearing Plutonite lens material
· Disparity augmentation and glare reduction of optional Iridium lens coating
After examining the brands, I still preferred Oakley and I am sure you will too. If you would like to learn more about the Oakley range or Electric, Spy, Arnette and more, then please take a look at our resource box below.
