Eyeglasses are worn by people who have less than 20/20 vision; non-prescription sunglasses are also popular. Whether you wear glasses for fashion or necessity, frames that are too loose can irritate your nose and eyes and are generally uncomfortable. There are a few quick fixes you can try at home.
things you’ll need:
Needle-nose pliers
Packing tape
Eyeglass screwdriver
Instructions
1 Determine which area of your eyeglasses is the loosest, around your nose or around your head.
2 If your eyeglasses are too loose around your nose, wrap the pincers of a pair of clean needle-nose pliers with packing tape, completely covering the ridges on the insides. Working very slowly and carefully so you do not make the glasses too small, carefully pinch the two nose pads together.
3 If your eyeglasses are too loose around your head, use an eyeglass screwdriver to carefully tighten the small screws found in the hinge where each stem (the earpiece) attaches to the front of the frame.
4 If you are still experiencing problems, take your glasses to an optometrist’s office. Someone there will be able to accurately size the glasses to the specific shape of your face.
