Carl Zeiss Vision Inc. was founded in 2005 and provides eyeglass fashions that come equipped with an anti-reflective lens coating. This coating reduces the lenses’ internal and external glare and provides a protective coating against rain, fog and general wear. Anti-reflective coating on eyeglasses becomes scratched when a user does not properly take care of the glasses. Removing fine scratches from Zeiss eyeglasses is possible with the use of products found inside your home or garage.
Instructions
things you’ll need:
Mild dish soap
Soft cloths
Wood-furniture polish
Eyeglass cloth
1 Wipe the lenses with a soft cloth moistened with water and mild dish soap. This will remove any dirt or debris found on top of the lenses. A mild soap will contain no dyes or perfumes.
2 Dry the lenses with a soft cloth.
3 Spray the corner of a soft cloth with wood-furniture polish, such as Pledge.
4 Wipe the surface of the Zeiss lenses with the wood polish. The waxy polish will fill in the scratches.
5 Remove any excess polish by wiping down the Zeiss lenses with an eyeglass cloth. This cloth is specifically designed to clean eyeglasses without causing any further scratches.
Tips & Warnings
Store eyeglasses in a sturdy case to protect them from scratches.
