Eyeglass glare can be a nuisance in photography. The flash against the glass creates a glare that can make it hard to see the subject’s eye and decreases the overall image quality. With modern day technology, a number of filters and lenses can decrease the chance of catching eyeglass glare, but it still is common. You can learn to remove the eyeglass glare with a photo-editing program, such as Adobe Photoshop. If you do not have Adobe Photoshop, any editing software will due as they all have the similar capabilities and features.
Instructions
1 Open Adobe Photoshop or your photo-editing software of choice. Click the “File” drop-down menu and select “Open.” Locate the picture that has the eyeglass glare. Click “Open” and allow the picture to load.
2 Select the area of the eyeglass glare. If using Adobe Photoshop, select “Quick Selection.” Hold the left mouse button down while you drag a box around the glare.
3 Select “Filter” and choose “Render.” Within the Render options, choose “Lighting Effects.”
4 Lower the “Ambiance” lever until it reaches the negative numbers. Once the desired result has been achieved and the glare is gone, click “OK.”
5 Click off of the selected area. This will deselect the eyeglass glare selection. Choose the “Healing Brush” option. Hold down the “Alt” key while you drag the brush to the edge of the area you repaired. Continue to paint over the entire edge until the photo is acceptable. Click the “File” drop-down menu and select “Save.”
