Photography has long been a widely practiced hobby for millions and with the invention of the digital camera it became even easier for people to take their own photos. However, even with the best equipment and careful planning, you will occasionally take a photo that just isn’t right. An example of a problem you might face is the glare you sometimes get when you take a photograph of someone wearing glasses. You might have thought that fixing this would either be impossible or would require the assistance of a professional. However, if you have a copy of Photoshop, you can quickly fix this problem yourself.
Instructions
1 Load the image onto your computer and save it where you can find it.
2 Open Photoshop. Select “File” from the menu and choose “Open.” In the dialog that appears, locate the image that you loaded and open it.
3 Click the “Quick Selection” tool and use it to select the area of glare. Select “Filter” from the menu and choose “Render.” From the options, choose “Lighting Effects.”
4 Set the lighting angle in the dialog to match the angle the light is in the image. Then lower the “Ambiance” into negative numbers until you like the result. Click “OK.” Deselect everything.
5 Select the “Healing Brush” tool from the toolbar. Hold down the “Alt” key and click near the edge of the area you repaired. Use the tool to paint over the line dividing the repaired area form the rest of the image. Save your work.
