Instructions
things you’ll need:
49-strand beading wire –.015 inch Diameter
Bead stopper
Assorted 8/0 seed beads in your choice of colors
Bugle beads
3 mm or 4 mm glass beads
4 mm crystal beads
6 mm rondelle bead
6 mm crystal bead
12 mm crystal bead
Crimp bead
Crimp cover
Rubber or sterling silver findings with which to attach your eye glasses.
Needle-nosed pliers

1 Cut 36 inches of beading wire and add a bead stopper about 6 inches from one end. A bead stopper resembles a spring and it keeps the beads from sliding off your beading wire.

2 Place your seed beads, bugle beads, 3 mm or 4 mm glass beads and 4 mm crystal beads in a bowl. Mix them up. You can choose a mixture of colors or keep them all in one color family.

3 String the beads onto your wire in a random order. Try not to use the same bead twice unless you want to.

4 Continue to string the beads until you have 24 inches of beads on your wire, leaving 6 inches of wire at each end. End with the same kind of bead that you started with. Now you can finish off each end of the eyeglass holder with a pattern.

5 Thread on two bugle beads then add one 6 mm rondelle bead, two seed beads, one 6 mm round crystal, two seed beads, one 12 mm crystal, two seed beads, one 6 mm crystal, two seed beads, one 6 mm rondelle bead, and two bugle beads.

6 Thread on another inch of beads in a random order. Place a crimp bead on as the last bead.

7 Place a bead stopper on this end and remove the bead stopper at the other end of your wire. Repeat steps 5 and 6.

8 Attach the eyeglass finding by threading the wire through one side of the finding. Thread the wire back down through the crimp bead and several of the seed beads. If you use rubber eyeglass findings, you will need to attach one to each end of the wire. You will need only one sterling silver eyeglass holder; both ends of the wire attach to it.

9 Pull the wire tight and then squeeze the crimp bead with needle-nosed pliers. Be careful to not break the seed bead next to the crimp bead.

10 Cut the wire and then add the crimp cover over the crimp bead. Gently close the crimp cover over the crimp bead with needle-nosed pliers. Repeat this step for the other end of the wire.

11 Repeat steps 8, 9 and 10 for the other side of the eyeglass holder. Now your eyeglass holder is ready to go around your neck and hold your glasses.
