If you wear eyeglasses, it can be quite easy to coat them with hair spray during your morning routine. Thankfully, there are a couple of even easier ways to remove this grimy coating so that your glasses will be crystal clear.

Things You’ll Need:
Rubbing alcohol Cotton balls Mild soap Water Windex Clean, lint-free cloth
1 Apply the rubbing alcohol to a cotton ball. Rub it over the hairspray on the lenses. This will cut through the hairspray and lift it from the glass.
2 Remove the alcohol/hairspray residue with a fresh cotton ball.
3 Wash and rinse the lenses with a mild soap (preferably liquid hand soap) and warm water to ensure complete removal of the hairspray. Wipe them dry with a clean, lint-free cloth.
4 If hairspray remains, try using a glass cleaner such as Windex. Apply it in the same manner as the alcohol.
5 Look through your glasses or hold them up to the light to check for any remaining hairspray. If there is some, repeat the steps above until it is completely gone.
If possible, style your hair without wearing your glasses. This is the best way to prevent hairspray buildup on the lenses. These steps can also be used to remove hairspray from the bathroom mirror.
