There are several coatings you can add to your glasses that enhance them and make wearing glasses easier. Anti-reflective coating is a great safety feature when driving at night because it reduces glare from oncoming traffic. Scratch-resistant coating helps to prevent scratches on your lenses. Anti-fog coating prevents lenses from fogging up when going from cold air to warm air. Ultraviolet treatment on lenses prevents UV rays from harming your eyes. The coatings have special ingredients that keep dirt and body oil from sticking to the lenses, thus making them easier to clean. You should take care when cleaning coated lenses to avoid harming the coating.

Coated lenses cleaning solution
Microfiber cloth
1 Wet the lenses under running water. Cleaning a dry lens with a dry cloth can cause scratches on the coatings.
2 Apply the cleaning agent recommended by your optician. Do not use regular lens cleaning solutions because some of them have abrasive agents that can harm the coatings on the lenses.
3 Clean lenses with a microfiber cloth. Fold the cloth over the front and back of the lens. Hold the cloth to the lens with your thumb on the top and index and middle fingers on the bottom. Rub the top layer of cloth against the lens gently in a circular motion. Clean the other lens. Rinse the cleaning solution from the lenses with cool running water.
4 Dry with microfiber cloth or let air dry. Do not use a washcloth or paper towel on the lenses as they may scratch the coating.
Tips & Warnings
Use only recommended cleaning solution.
If you do not have a coated lens cleaner, use plain water.
Do not clean lenses with bottom of the shirt you are wearing.
