How to Buy the Right Size Eyeglass Frames

Going out to buy new glasses? There are lots of choices, but you really only need to remember a few simple tricks to make sure you look your best in those new frames!

Instructions
1 First off, if you can’t see yourself well enough in the mirror to be able to see what you look like in a pair of new frames, make sure you take a family member or close friend along to help. Make sure it’s someone who REALLY knows you and someone you REALLY trust.

2 The next thing to remember is that wire or metal frames are more timeless than plastic frames for daily wear. Those plastic frames may be super chic today, but will you still fell just as awesome in them in a couple of months?

3 Your new frames should complement the shape of your face. For example, if you have a rounder face, you probably won’t want to buy John Lennon-type little round frames. You’ll want to go with something a little more angular to offset the roundness of your face. On the other hand, someone with a very square chin and angular features would probaby really look great in a rounder style.

4 You also want to make sure that your eyes are pretty well centered in each lens of the frames. You don’t want your eyes to be too near the top or bottom of the lenses. You will be able to see better, plus you will look better. The same is true for the width of the frames. If someone looks at you and your eyes look like they’re right up next to your nose and you have miles of lens left extending out towards your ears-well, you get the picture. I hope this helps you find the perfect pair of eyeglasses!

Tips & Warnings
Go with a frame color that will match most of your clothing or that goes with your skin tone. Is purple really what you want to wear on your face everyday?

If you want to be a little wild, choose something plastic and fun for your prescription sunglasses. Leopard print, anyone?
