Not every pair of glasses is right for everyone; frames can highlight the best or worst features on your face. There are some guidelines for choosing eyeglasses to ensure you select the right ones to bring out your best features.
Shape
Faces can be categorized into several shapes that correlate to what shape glasses to choose. For square faces choose oval, round or butterfly shaped frames. Oval faces should select more geometric shaped frames to add angles. A round face should choose rectangular and horizontal frames to make the face appear longer. Diamond face shapes should choose oval frames, and heart-shaped faces should choose narrow round frames to soften the face angles.
Color
Your eyeglasses frames should bring out your best features. If you have baby blue eyes, choose a pair of blue frames to bring them out. If you have dark hair and dark eyes, select frames that repeat that coloring to best complement your features.
Size
Eyeglasses frames are categorized into three sizes of small, medium and large. Select frames that are proportionate to your face size. Choose frames, so you can see your entire eye in the glass part of the frame.
