Remember when you were young and could wake up with clear 20/20 vision everyday and think nothing of it?
You can do it once again with 30 day contact lenses lots of people these days do especially those of us who are nearsighted. Some of us (myself included) wake up feeling around for our glasses that are somewhere on the night table that is until…
We either find them or knock them off the table and onto the floor and think to yourself “Good Morning!”
Like Bill Clinton “I feel your pain” when it comes to this but… you’ll be happy to know that 30 day contact lenses can put an end to the “night table shuffle”!
While 30 day lenses may be the quick answer, there are good and bad parts about them.
Here are a few things to understand before you decide to go out and buy 30 day contact lenses that you may not have thought about:
Daily wear contact lenses are the ones that you put in each day (hence the name “daily wear”) and throw out the used pair of contacts. And…
“Extended wear” are the lenses that you can leave in overnight. Generally speaking, you can usually get away with wearing these type for between 5-7 days but this isn’t carved in stone and may differ from one person to another depending on many different factors such as prescription, environment they/you work and live in, etc.
It’s really a personal decision to decide to wear 30 day lenses or not. One of the great things is that you can put them in and leave them in for a month. (kind of sounds like a hair curler commercial… “Just Set and Forget them”) which means that you don’t have to worry about cleaning them everyday and having lens cleaning solution on hand all the time, etc.
At the same time you need to be aware of the risk of infection if you don’t follow the directions/instructions and most importantly what your eyes are telling you!
30 day contact lenses can be a real blessing if you just remember that you still have to take care of your eyes and follow the instructions fully… your vision depends on it!
