One of my favorite additions or accessories to riding a bike is sunglasses! It became clear to me early on the importance of sunglasses. Glare is a nasty enemy to combat!
Since the sun is not going to stop shining anytime soon. It is up to us to combat its nasty influence. One of the best ways to do this is by using sunglasses.
I have used a few different brands for extended periods. There is one brand I thoroughly enjoy in all aspects!
The reasons for liking this brand are:
Lightweight
Very comfortable
Can get them for a prescription
Some of the “models” have an interchangeable lens
Company will replace if frame/lens breaks
Several different tint varieties
With the advent of auction sites it makes it much easier to acquire sunglasses at a wholesale price. Unfortunately I do not know of anyway to get prescription sunglasses at a reasonable price. I wish I did! I would be their best customer or at least one of the first.
There are a couple of things to consider before purchasing sunglasses. First off is the tint. What kind of tint do you want? Do you want grey, yellow, brown, blue, or as dark as possible?
The second consideration is what shape is my face/head? What shape of sunglasses would look good on my face?
The brand which I am talking about is Oakley! Ever since I got them several years ago I have enjoyed them often. I have also broken a few and had them replaced.
Out of the several years I have owned a pair I have bought 2 pairs total. I have actually had 6 or so pairs in total. This includes all the ones I have had replaced due to breakage. I can not say enough good things about them!
I have had a few people comment they would lose them. I thought the same thing when I got my first pair. There was an amazing thing happen. Since I paid a good amount for them I have kept track of them. I have misplaced them a time or two yet I have not lost any for good.
I also have little fingers around which run off with things. I still know where my sunglasses are at. Every one who has gotten a pair, whom I know personally, has not regretted the decision. It is your turn to do the same!
