Memories are made of this!
Lifetime memories are made of those wonderful times we share with family and friends as we sit around the campfire sharing special moments. Camping holidays are unforgettable times especially when you take the time to make the right preparations.
Make camping fun!
Nothing takes the fun out of a camping trip better than unwilling campers? Allow your children to take part in some of the preparations by assigning each a task that is important and necessary for the tip to be successful. Get them involved in planning out activities, and find out the things that they are looking forward to. Build up the anticipation with funny stories about wildlife the night before you leave.
Arrival Excitement
On arrival at your site it is a good time to teach your children how to build an outdoor fire, especially as most young boys are pyromaniacs in the making! You can start inspecting bugs and other traces of wildlife in the area with the aid of thermal night goggles. Most of the time the general surroundings provide all the entertainment that is required to exhaust most family members during the day.
Apart from the fact that camping is the perfect opportunity to commune with nature, it promises a host of outdoor activities. After you set up the campsite, preparing the picnic is usually the next thing to do. When you are done with your midday meal you can take out your magnifying glass and explore the nature around you looking out for interesting wildlife. If your campsite is close to the water, boat riding, like kayaking or canoeing, is a breathtaking way to spend the day. Most of the time the general surroundings provide all the entertainment that is required to exhaust most family members during the day.
Night-time fun!
In the old days putting on a skit around the fire would be the best way to spend the night on a campout. There were countless night games possible but we would not trade safety for fun if we were out with the children. We would occasionally brave the darkness with a flashlight or lamp in hand to get to a latrine, but never wander off into the woods in the dead of the night.
Come night time you can add some extra zing to the family camping experience by giving each child a set of EyeClops night vision goggles. This will turn the campout into a unique experience of fun and learning.
Today we have night vision devices. The night vision goggles you see in movies that are using infrared technology do work in reality. Infra-red night vision goggles, in particular, allow you to see things over fifty meters away without the object being aware of your presence.
It would be interesting to go night hiking or bug watching with your child even on a moonless night as EyeClops night vision goggles work best in total darkness.
Of course, if you have little children and they are tucked up tight in their sleeping bags, then maybe this is the time to use this great equipment yourselves and have heaps of fun.
