When you are going to spend some money on a fun item, something don’t have to have but want to have, you want to be sure that what you are buying is going to last, do the job it was made to do and give you a degree of pleasure – all at the same time.
We’re not demanding at all, are we!
When it comes down to as frivolous a spend as buying colored contact lenses – we need to know that what we are about to buy is good quality kit and is not going to cause us any problems. This is even more important than usual, considering these will be put into a very delicate and sensitive area of the body, the eye.
One of the names that has been an originator and developer of a whole market section is Acuvue. They were the first company to release pre-manufactured soft lenses and have been at the top of the ladder in the contact lens market since day one.
What this means for you is that if you decide you want to have some fun and change your eye color, acuvue colored contact lenses would be your first point of call.
They have a colored range that splits into two sides that compliment and work for different original color eyes. Three colors are created for light eyes and these are Emerald Green, Aquamarine and Ocean Blue. They then have a further seven colors that cover and change an original eye color completely. The colors available are Pearl Grey, Chestnut Brown, Hazel Green Deep Blue, Warm Honey, Jade Green and Sapphire Blue.
I know these colors sound like a type of shower gel or something but they are supposed to give you a mental image of just what color the lenses are.
If you head over to the Acuvue website, you’ll be able to test out their colored lenses in a couple of different ways.
Firstly, they have a component on the site called iMakeover. This allows you to load up a picture of your face and then try to see what you would look like with different colored eye lenses in place.
Pretty cool – it’s quite easy to upload your image and you can have a hoot with some totally opposite colors.
The other method by which to find out how they’d look on you at no cost is to go to any local eye care professional and ask for a free trial pair.
So go grab a pair and try them out – better yet, don’t tell anyone what you are doing and let them find out for themselves!
